1. What is VoIP?

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a system for making telephone calls over the internet. Compared with traditional telephony systems, this results in incredible savings. Whilst there are many providers of VoIP on the market, what makes A2 VoIP stand out from the rest is the sophisticated management system created by us, enabling call centres and other multiple user organisations to manage and monitor their telephony. To get FREE VoIP calls you need the following equipment;
Computer with full duplex soundcard
Broadband Internet connection
VoIP communication application such as X-Lite
Headset or USB phone a USB headset or phone will provide superior call quality

Computer Requirements:

3. What level of computer expertise do we need to get the system set up?
Next to none! User friendly set up wizards and step by step guides are provided. If you already use a computer to surf the internet or operate basic MicrosoftTM packages, you almost certainly have sufficient expertise. In any case, we also provide a friendly techinical support service to help you.

4. What happens if the power fails?
Whilst power cuts are relatively brief and infrequent in the UK, Internet calling, like cordless phones, requires a power supply. One way to resolve this is to get a Universal Power Supply (battery backup) connected to one essential terminal, perhaps the receptionist's, if you want to retain a minimal level of VoIP service to your business during power cuts.
In order to keep the VoIP line working for as long as possible during a power cut, only plug small (and necessary) electronic items into you UPS. The necessary items are your DSL/cable modem, your router and your computer.
